Fun facts about the Great Lakes

Something interesting:

The Great Lakes of North America form the largest group of freshwater lakes in the world, holding more than 20 per cent of the world’s surface freshwater and 95 per cent of North America’s.

Something incredibly depressing:

If groundwater around the Great Lakes is being drawn down at the same rate as it is (being drawn down) globally, the Lakes will be bone dry in just 80 years.
